Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer as well as a model and actress. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most well-known films. Born and raised in a family of artists living in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of art. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. The first two films she made were noticed, and she was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's film Love Story was an international smash, and earned her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years she had been voted as the top female box office starter in the world. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were engraved in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Some of the films she's been in are The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw married three people.
